We carry many of the products that Diamondback Fitness has to offer including treadmills, recumbent bikes, upright bikes, and ellipticals. For 2008 Diamondback offers 6 different elliptical machines with different concepts of motion in each of them. Although all their machines are of excellent quality, the elliptical that gets us going is their 1260Ef Model. (The "E" stands for elliptical, the "f" stands for front drive). There really is nothing like this machine on the market. Compact footprint, adjustable incline, moving arms, contact heart rate, wireless heart rate, rock solid construction, and a 5 year parts and electronics warranty. Whenever we can, we try to encourage people to invest into an elliptical that offers a change of motion. The 1260Ef offers and adjustable ramp that will change the pitch of the motion throughout the workout. Changing the stride allows one to break up the boredom of the workout, target different muscles within the body, and keep the body guessing so that it can't adapt to a repetitious motion. There are currently competing brands that offer adjustable incline (with many more to come) but what is unique to the Diamondback is how your foot fits to their pedals. You will find that your foot makes "whole foot" contact on the pedal as you push back, rather than raising your heels and pushing with the balls of your foot. Pushing with the whole foot allows the user to use larger muscles groups such as glutes and hamstrings. Using larger muscles groups, your perceived exertion is lower allowing you to stay on longer and enjoy the workout. Machines that make you want to come up onto the ball of the foot and push back not only is unhealthy for the foot or achilles but also uses smaller muscles groups such as the calf. You may get a quick sweat on these machines, but also tire out very quickly without targeting the actual muscle groups you were trying to.

A few other features we like of this product are the moving arms, programming, history and aggressive price tag. Offering moving arms on the machine also allows the user to change up the workout and target different muscle groups. The arms will not over extend your reach keeping a nice compact motion. The moving arms also offer a very nice rubber / foam grip that makes it to hold onto even after you hands have become sweaty. Near every company offers some sort of programming on their machines, but Diamondback has built into several of the machines a random program. The computer will generate a different program everytime it is pressed. This again is a great way encourage you to do different exercises and decrease boredom. Diamondback is heading into their 5th year of production on the 1260Ef (formerly called 1250Ef) and these machines are dialed in and perfected. It is comforting to invest into a product that has had some serious testing, backed with a warranty by a long standing company. Lastly is the price. After all those features and quality, we feel this is the most price aggressive machine in the market. We deliver and assemble this machine in your home for $2695.
